I know the following springs, colors and specs:

65g = shiny silver (2) 25 & 26 cm marks
80g = black (1) 27cm mark
95g = dull silver (1 or 2??) 28 & 29cm marks
115g = gold (2) 30 & 31cm marks.

Take a look at the pics. Phone pics so it may not come out. Have you guys ever seen two springs that should be the same spec (95g) be different lengths? I thought I had 2 95g springs but when I pulled them out I noticed that they're different dimensions??? I was wondering if one was actually a 80g spring that has become discolored. I've never heard of them loosing color.

brand new out of the package is the only way to know... other than that you are guessing.

people cut springs and fuel changes the colors. It's not worth the gamble over a 4 dollar part to blow and expensive motor.
 
even right out of the package you are guessing.... when it comes to pop off you need to install the springs with the needle and seat combo of your choice and test it with a pop off gauge to truly determine the real spring rate.
