midshaft housing play

I think thats what its called, the coupler side that goes into the bulkhead, when I wiggle the coupler it moves maybe an 1/8" or less, Ive never greased it so I may need to add some but any ideas on what it could be and the fix?

I have an 04 and kept the intermediate housing greased acording to the manual. breaking in at 10hrs then every 100hrs after. Mine has play as you describe, it's the play from the rubber seals around the shaft.

definatly grease it.....and if you havene done so in awhile you might hear air hissing out of it...

The bearing is sealed, if it turns smooth it is fine. The grease is just for the seal. Play is okay.

alright, it doesnt sound like a bad bearing or anything.
