Super Jet Metal Exhaust Pipe in Tray, Aluminum or Stainless?

My superjet is up at the lake house, and I'm about 2 hours away so I can't investigate for myself this weekend, but...

Is the metal exhaust pipe that runs from the bulkhead to the rear of the hull, aluminum, or stainless? Furthermore, is the riveted bracket at the end of the exhaust pipe just a press-fit?

I ask because I'm anticipating I will need to cut and weld the pipe bracket at a different angle when I cut short my ski 2".

It's stainless. I don't quite remember how the flange is attached. I want to say its welded

might be... i guess i would say if the flange is stainless so is the pipe, if it's alum so is the pipe... since you can't weld stainless to alum... pretty good assumption i'd say(i realize you don't have the ski there to look)... but i'd bet money it is in fact one of the two.. hah

Sn tube is smaller, heavier and stainless. Welded at the rear flange.

RN 96-up is aluminum, lighter, and larger inner diameter. Welded at the rear flange.

I changed out the stock SN tube in my fixed steer for a larger RN tube since I am running a 771 big bore. Figured that little pipe was designed for a 650, not the larger motors of today. That little pipe will choke out a large motor.
