Hei just Got a new too me boat it’s a Campion 797 it’s 26 feet and is around 4600 lbs, it has a 5.7 efi mercruiser and alpha 1 drive. But it realy strugls too get on a plane engine runs good but it only does 3500 rpm trimed out, it goes 35 mph and thats fine but i would like some more bottom end push. The prop it has on now is a 4 blade ss unknow pitch, hope someone has similar boat and Can telt me ther prop and pitch ?

It should have a stamping on the outside or maybe its on the inside? Take the prop off and look. I have a 18ft open bow ski/family type with a 4.3L V6 Volvo Penta SX drive and I use a cheap aluminum Solas 4blade 15`` pitch and use the boat for wake boarding and skiing and the 15 pitch gives me the quick out of the hole performance I desire but it would work fine with 17`` if all I wanted was cruising. I run a hydrofoil bolted to the outdrive which helps quicken planing also. I would think a 17-19-21 pitch for your small block V8 would be close but I would want it to nearly reach redline RPMs 5-6k ? I would see what pitch you at now and maybe go down 2 sizes IDK and make sure your boat is running right to 3500rpm seems pretty gutless.
