Super Jet Memorial Day at the spot

Had a great day at the water.
Might not have made the most intelligent choices, but all worked out well.

A group of friends, (non-watercraft) , went to the spot for the holiday. It was crowded. I had my ski's and they had plastic kayaks and inflatable kayaks...

There were loads of fisherman as well as people that just wanted to get wet.

Lots of folks trying to share the waterways.

Lisa made her first ocean run of the year....(now that the water temp is in the mid 70's) ... the waves were garbage. 1 to 2 and blown to hell...no fun at all.

So, I figured I'd let some novice/never rode a stand-up friends try it out. They had ridden couches before, but never a stand-up ski.

It was what you would expect. Kind of comical...but, even though I schooled them on courtesy to fisherman and others, they still got into situations that an experienced rider would have avoided.

There was no harm and no foul. Everyone had a good time.

But: A holiday weekend is not the best time to let newbies try a stand-up ski...LOL.

Went to the local Lake Fairview - "waves 1 to 2 and blown to hell" as in above post. Couchers were out of control - downright scary! Well, closer than the ocean for me. Still had fun. Sorry to hear that besides Lisa you only had kayakers to ride with. However they probably served you wine, cheese and pate de foi gras, whereas I only had a burger, beans, slaw and potato salad at the VFW there - how pedestrian!

I was At the spot Sunday and it was a great ride! Had to work Monday then hit Daytona for a quick rip in the afternoon... Pretty crappy conditions on Monday

I got called into work Sunday, but took a ride down after... were you driving a small white car? (the only stand-up type trailer I saw..maybe you were riding)
TONS of people! Looked like you could walk across the bay area on the boats.

But, the waves had to be better than Monday.
