Maintenance question

Thanks in advance for help with my "stupid" question... SO I am not incredibly mechanically inclined and I am looking for advice on maintenance of my 2000 RN Superjet. It is completely stock (except maybe ride plate?) I have owned it 4/5 years and I only use it a handfull of times each year as I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina an hour from any lake. I do at least one week long lake vacation each year and that is when I use it most so it is very important for it to work for that one week per year. Aside from that I occasionally will put it on the French Broad river when it has enough water in it ( at which point it is flowing fairly swiftly and then it also becomes important that the ski runs well) So the question is... What do i need to do to make sure it stays reliable? Is there some maintenance I need to do yearly? Have the carb cleaned? Plugs? filters? wear rings of some kind? The only thing I've ever really done to it was replace the battery last year when I got to the lake and it wouldn't start. I want to make sure it stays in good shape and reliable. thanks

I recommend rebuild carbs at the beginning of each season. Make sure to use new genuine Mikuni replacement parts. Do a fresh set of plugs at the same time. Other than that just make sure she has fresh gas and a charged battery. A Superjet is a pretty low maintenance ski. I also recommend fogging the engine and draining the fuel tank for winter.
