Super Jet Mag pump size?

I know there have discussions on this in the past but I'm not having any luck finding them. I'm debating between a 140 mag and a 144 mag. 99% of my riding is done in flatwater and I've got a ported big bore engine with total loss. The snappy hole shot is what I'm really after.

You'll get as many opinions as there are mag pump sizes.
I don't recall who built your engine, but that person is the first (and probably only) person I'd ask.

Yeah I did actually contact one of the guys at Speedwerx about it almost immediately after posting this. I didn't actually buy the engine from them and although they have been very helpful so far, I just don't think to contact them every time and I guess I need to change my mentality about that.

I'm pretty sure the ski with this engine was running a 140 but it was also a race ski capable of doing 60+mph which I will never see.

144 should be plenty big enough for most motors @ or under 1000cc if the 140 isn't a smoken deal then go with the 144 the 144 will also be lighter as I assume the 140 is a solas octane pump. Last time I checked speedwerx has 140 solas pumps for around 700

144mm mag for sure. I ran a 140 and found it loaded the motor a little too much and was heavier. The 144 mag is spot on and will handle any motor u throw at it. Eme only runs a 145mm kawi mag and they are making more power than other motors out there.
