I'm out here in CA but contemplating a move to LA for work. I have plenty of places to ride out here, but how is it out there?? Looks like there are quite a few lakes but I think I want to avoid the Gulf.

What areas are good for families? I was looking into Pontchatoula.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

What's wrong with the Gulf? Other than it gets little surf!

There are a good bit of places to ride. We have a ton lakes . You wouldnt have to worry about the Gulf unless you live really far south. there are a few Bays that are pretty descent. Not to get into your business, but what field of work are you getting into? i think TMC9046

I actually just spoke to him, he lives in Pontchatoula. Its a pretty nice place, quite and they have a large lake in that town. lake pontchartrain.

Yea I live in Ponchatoula. There are alot of rivers and bayou's around that area. Also Madisonville and Mandeville are very nice towns with lots of water and are just east of Ponchatoula. Madisonville and Mandeville are also on Lake Ponchatrain Which is a very large lake Im sure you have heard about. I ride mostly on the Tchefuncte river in Madisonville which is about a 15 minute drive from Ponchatoula.

I work in TV and Film doing stunts. A lot of the work has moved out there due to the tax incentive.
