I have no steering control all of a sudden. The bars still turn the nozzel when its on the lift but when I try to ride I can't steer either way. I'm new to this and have noi idea what it could be.

Also check the cable mounting area in the pole, mine came loose and did that.
X2, this happened to my sxi. Check where the outer part of the steering cable attaches to the pole and hull. Make sure it's tight there.

I'm pretty sure it's not a problem at the pole. Do I need a new cable?

mine did that this weekend and turns out the cable broke where the handlepole meets the hull
You have to find out, do some troubleshooting and see what's happening on both ends.

It looks like the cable is coming through the pump area. Is something supposed to catch it or stop it from coming through?

yup, there's a seal, washer and plastic pinch piece/snap ring that keeps the cable in place. unscrew the plastic fitting and take a look. maybe that plastic piece broke.

mine did that a few weeks ago. the clip that holds the steering cable on the pole bent because my steering stop was not in the right spot.

That was it. I ghetto rigged it till I can replaced it. Is there anything stronger to replace it with?
