Super Jet Losing mind removing flywheel

SXIPro

JM781 Big Bore
Just pulled the flywheel cover off my 04 SJ. Looking to remove flywheel and stator. The bendix is currently engaged with the flywheel. Is this ok? I've done this a few times, and honestly don't remember if the bendix was engaged the previous times I have done this.

make sure the Bendix is seated in the case bushing. If it's cocked and you pull the wheel you might damage the bronze bushing

It should not be engaged now, like mentioned. Grab your coupler in the back and spin engine by hand with spark plugs out and bendix should disengage and retract back in. Definitely dont pull flywheel if bendix is engaged like DAG said.
