Freestyle Looking to buy my first AM hull

Well the time has come, I want an AM hull. I currently have a 94 701 SN with a few extras on it and want to swap everything to an AM hull but I just don't know which one will work and/or what to look for. Im ready to buy if the right deal comes along but not desperate to buy. Im looking to spend around $4,000 to $5,000 to get on the water with the swap from my SN. Really just looking for help/reviews/info and any advise. I live in MO on a private lake with a 700cc restriction for one man skis. Once the ski is approved by the association, I will work on beefing up the motor. Id like to learn how to barrel roll or flip (if possible) off of a boat wake or on flat water. Again, Im looking for advise on what to look for, stay away from, and any odds/ins you have learned over the years. Thanks for the help!

Ha my friend that helped film the video moved to Atlanta!! We just haven't met up for a 2nd video. I want to though since my brother (riding the red 550) got a FX-1 as well so it would be a nice change of pace

u really need to ride them man. i have love every hull i have ridden so far for different reasons.

i bought my first hull because i jumped on a wicked deal. my second am hull will take more time and careful selection for exactly what i want. from the sounds of what u are riding though the chan, micro, maybe a use bob route would be best. more towards flat water than big surf.

Unfortunately there's really no place to ride them here nor anyone that has them. The local riders that I've seen all have SJs or SXRs or smaller skis. It's a huge gamble to buy a ski without riding it i know but I bought my SN hating how they felt (rode a 650 SN a local guy had). I just learned how to ride one and love it now. I just want to go to the next level.

Chad I was eyeballing your post but I would have to buy a pole and new pump for it. I'm hoping for a direct transfer of my parts to the new hull. Sounds like I'll need to buy a pole anyways though

i have a carbon bob i would sell for a decent price if u pm me ;) good hull i would just rather have a surf hull since i ride in the great lakes a lot. message me if interested. i know it would be a long trip.

um building a 300 for my gf right now. they are goo but not as good as aftermarket. were really popular 3-4 years ago before the aftermarket world really exploded as a cheap alternative.

I noticed u live a pretty good distance from Arizona, but if u r serious about getting into AM hulls. I recommend making the trip to WF this year. There will be a lot of new hulls for demo. The best choice to make is always yours, test ride and buy the ski that u feel most comfortable on.
Obviously the one that fits your budget too. Great thing about Havasu is that u can ride just about every top manufacturers ski

i got to do this at wave rave this year and it was amazing. if u can make it to the etroit area for hot hole there should be a good variety there to see

SN to AM hull won't be a direct swap. If your max budget is $5K...keep in mind you will need to purchase extra parts to make the conversion to the new hull complete.

thats the big ones.... and there is at least one builder that was considering aapting a sn mi shaft. it is possible if its a must have on ur list....
