Looking for small hull drains.....

My exhaust outlet is held in with screws, not rivets. I just pull my bottom screw. I considered drilling it out and using a bigger screw, but so far that hasn't been necessary.

On the left sine I screwed in a threaded insert and sealed it with 5200. Then I use a stainless steel button head allen screw and a sealing washer to seal that up.

Those look like zinc. How do they hold up in salt? I like this though. That's pretty much exactly what I was looking for.

Sorry. I don't live near the ocean. So far they have been fine in fresh water.

Me neither.....that's why them make trailers.
I only hit the salt once or twice a year, but the water inside the hull will have a nice salt mixture too.

Yeah, that is was ATS_Scott is using. You could get plastic ones too, that would eliminate any corrosion concerns.

Mine are brass. Does brass corrode? No problems after Daytona last year, but that is my only saltwater experience so far.

I would think brass would be okay for corrosion. Certainly better than zinc.

What about putting normal drain plugs but face them into the pump area? Any ideas on that?

This is how I'm going to do mine, the 2 ozs of water left in there because it's a little higher won't matter
