I saw a picture of someone that built a cool platform for their double trailer on pwctoday and I cant find it anymore. Does anyone know where this picture is or does anyone have a picture of a platform that they have made. I want to build one for mine to hold a bin for wetsuits, lifejackets, a seperate holder for gas cans and stuff. Just lookin for ideas, thanks.

Royal thats what I was going to do originally until I saw the platform that this other person built. it was really sweet and I have an idea on how to do it, just wanted to see the picture to clear a few things up. King if noone posts a pic, I'll try to snap one tomorrow morning.

Ron, I didn't build a platform on mine but I installed this box that they sell at Walmart for about $100. Holds 4-6 (5-gallon) gas cans, oil, tools and any a lot of other crap. I mounted it with U-bolts directly to the frame.

(DISCLAIMER: The STX-R is for sale - a 750sx will be taking its place on the trailer :woot: )

I think it will work fine if you use Marine Grade Plywood and good quality carpet. Looks good, I may have to do that to mine, as well.

Not bad - I would worry about driving with stuff just sitting on that platform though. But it does give you open space to do whatever you need to with it.

I thought about doing that catwalk thing on my trailer but it seems like it would just get in the way if you were trying to work on the skis - unless you wanted to be able to sit on it. I'm pretty happy with my storage box. Its big enough to hold everything I need it to, securely. But it makes the tongue pretty heavy!

Here is how i did mine...

You can see in the one pic that I used pressure treated 2x4's and used galvenized brakets to hole them on. And in the second pic how it fits three skis with a tool box and fuel jugs in front.
