looking at an FX-1 mint condition for the little woman" I'm such a good husband"

Well the little Miss. has the bug she has started riding my stand up. " I told her she could not handle it". She did fantastic... I was so proud ......other people at the house asked how long she had been riding I told them about 15 min. She stood right up and was turning right ,left and giving it some juice on the on the flats.Since she has been asking for more. I found a one owner FX-1 outstanding factory condition. He wants 1700 with a trailer...... "not a very good one ,more like a pulling device ".Anyway I might just do it. People say it rides like the old 550 I never had trouble on a 550. I guess she can grow into it. Other than pipe /pump/head up grades what type of intake and ride plate would be suggested?

for 1700 you can get a 701 sn sj. but if its local, and for the wife.. she wont know... it'd be nice to use it as a doner ski when your's breaks down and need a quick part wile the replacement is on order.

I thought about that.....It is local and in great shape a little more than I want to pay ....They just sound fun to play with.

check your advice. have you ever ridden, explored or even SEEN an fx1?

the fx1 has a 701 and the same midbearing as a roundie, pumps are a dime a dozen..you just have to change the shafts

the fx is an AWESOME choice for the girly, and is an equally awesome ski all around! its like a 550 on crack!!!!!!

it is 30 lbs lighter than a SJ, and despite what you read people post about the stock pump..its not that bad

1700 is right at what that ski is worth, if its mint I'd run with it....Local deals rule

i have one that I just took apart, I thought about selling it but I cant bear to part with a hull that is in pristine condition...so, under a tarp and in the shed it will go for a rainy day

So the stock pump will do ok .I talked to impros . I picked up a hooker for my other ski and they said a prop change would make all the difference in hook up. Also I'm hearing that a jet dyn ride plate and intake make for better hook up ? Is this about right.

stock pump is fine....find a skat prop and a toploader for it, the rideplate is optional
