I dunno what the deal is.. I have been following your build... you love pictures which is good for the visual learners like myself...

still waiting on the email though.

When I tried to send it to you yahoo said too big. I picked jpg in photoshop and I guess 6/12 quality wasnt enought so i resaved at like 2 and now its small enought.

It dosnt make sense but it works.

A couple comments:

Are you sponsored by all of those mfgs? I would put a few on there to acknowledge some people who have helped you/the sport, but don't go crazy.

How about that big blank area on the side. How about some flames or tribal art there and on the back gunwale (where you have the Yamaha/UMI/etc.)?

those are not graphics. those are company logos. why would you want a bunch of company logos on your kickass paintjob that arent even your sponsors? why not get an actual graphics kit that compliments your ski like a custom paint job?

exotic signs is where you should be looking if you want killer graphics. if your just looking for plain ol' industry logos, youre already there.

Ok I guess its not "graphics", so what do you call it stickers.

Um thats just it I dont want to cover up my paint job.
I really like it and to slap big vdecals on it would be a waste.
I wanted to sport the logos of parts and people that helped me.
No there not sponsors, I wish, never thought of that...

Others I need are X-h2o, and JrMagoo.

Plus I want to put my name "2lick" on it.
And the registration are going on the pole(not sure how legal it is yet)

your paintjob looks "littered upon" with all of those stickers that come free with the parts you buy. they do not compliment the ski in the least, IMHO.

you could get real graphics on there that would compliment the ski.

....or you could just slap a bunch of stickers on it and call it a day.

I think with the paint job you've chosen, less is more. All the logos detract from the overall look of the ski. Your eyes get drawn especially to the big blob of them in the rear.

I'd say dump the stickers, keep the graphic under the bondline and do your name and registration number in the same font as that one.

Nice looking ski, no need for all the graffiti.

I think your ski looks great, i love the paintjob!!

However if youre going for logos then id do one of 2 things,

A) Make them stand out, make the Blowsion one bigger on the hood and space the smaller ones out more down the ski. Maybe run them all at an angle getting smaller as they near the front of the ski.

B) If you want the subtle look then id go with a more descreet colour so they almost blend in with the colours you have and make them less noticable. So you only really see them when youre up close, that way you wont detract from your killer paintjob.

Personally i like the industry logos, and i dont like all the tribal or flames, think they look a bit rubbish, but hey thats just personal opinion and its YOUR ski so do what YOU like.

its cut vinyl. hes got the equip to do the printed, but it wouldve required more design time and i didnt wanna wait. he definately has some high tech stuff there. i think most of all, i like the climate controlled room that is all white like an operating room with those bigass roland machines. those things are bigger than 2 3d's sitting next to eachother. theres a big sign on the door that says "keep doors closed at all times". its like a freaking laboratory.

anyway, i wasnt bashing you. i was just saying that exotics can design custom graphics better than anybody that ive ever seen.... not clip-art or industry logos (well he does have clip-art for budget kits).

2lick's ski could be complimented by a design instead of the "graffiti" that he has photoshopped onto his image. nice photoshopping job, btw, 2lick

Look I'm not mad at any one. I asked for feedback and thats what I got. But instead of sayinfg"looks like ****" maybe you could say constructive recomendations, or "well its not what I like but it would look cool if you made them..."

Good recomendations orangeflattopfreestyler ...

Uh oh mines gonna look like yours lol.

I've never been too fond of exotic's designs. SFL's looks awesome so I'm guessing the one offs are sweet. but the kits they sell are boring and not so cool looking imo. Industry logos are cool if done properly. Its just a mtter of personal taste. The pic below is my 650sx, I was on the boardwalk in seaside and I saw a sticker on the back wall of a vinyl shop that was 2" in size. I asked him if he could make it like 3' long and he said sure. Paid 50 bucks for the set and went home and I got my ghetto custom pain job.

I say keep playing with photoshop and you'll come up with something you like. Everyones taste on what a finished ski looks like is way too different, thats whats great about custom skis, no two look alike.

(just for the record, im not saying I think my 650 looks sweet, just not bad for a 50 buck vinyl job.)

if youre judging exotics by the kits on his site, i agree 100%. the kits on his site are very plain and boring. i think he doesnt post the really cool stuff out of fear of kooks with plotters stealing his designs.
