Well.....here's where we stand right now on the SJ projects. Still a lot to do in the next few weeks to be ready for the LSFR. :eek:mfg:
Besides finishing up with the glass work, foaming and turfing....still have some carb work and pipe manifold porting to get done!
Taking off work early today and off Monday, so hopefully we'll be able to get these back on the water before next weekend so we can get the carbs tuned.
Probably won't have time to get'em painted for the ride, but oh well.....as long as they're on the water, that's all that matters!:headbang:

Hope to get them finished up. Either way....see ya all at Galveston!!:usa2:

dude, why did you post this? it made me realize how much we still have to do.

we have all the stuff to finish the projects, just have a lot of hours ahead of us. we have most of the day today, sat, sun, and mon. we should be able to get it all done, except the painting. that doesn't really bother me, because the only time i went to the LSFR my ski was the ugliest ski on the beach. but it was on the beach and that is what matters. hell even the jammer looked better than mine.

Eh, eh, eh, watch it there, mister! Be VEWY caweful what you way about The Duckie.

Wow, after seeing your stuff mine feels like it's already done....even though my crankshaft is somewhere between here and Arizona right now. At least I am putting mine back like it was, just a rebuilt with a .5mm bigger bore, so I shouldn't need to tune it.

ATS_Scott is planning on painting his SN before the LSFR and Hoang (guy that works for me) is taking his brother's ski (my old blue RN with the 828cc stroker) so he's got nothing to worry about.

uh, get off the boards and get to work!

:swordfight:
LOL!
Give me 4 hours and I'll be there. Had to come in for half a day to appease the boss!:smokin:

I figure we have no problem. I mean.....it only took us 4 months to get 2 weeks worth of work done, so hell 4 months of work in 2 weeks should be no problem!! LOL!
:eek2:
We'll make it!

Good luck to the rest of y'alls projects too!!
See ya on the beach!! :woot:

i gave it a compliment. i said it was prettier than my sn, it will probably be prettier than it again this year. i actually think they look kinda cool, but a man could get very hurt on one of those.

A compliment, huh? Saying that even the Jammer was prettier. Kind of a back handed compliment, like saying it was prettier than that turd over there. :nana:

Oh yeah, I learned something on this first ski build.

When sticking your head inside the tray for sealing up everything inside the ski...make sure to get under all of the lines BEFORE gooping up the pump bolt holes!
It's been a week and it still looks like a bird sheat on my head! Boy...that 5200 doesn't wanna let go of my scalp!!
If I had more hair I guess it wouldn't be a problem!!

Made a little progress today. Re-jetted my carb, glassed the 2 pieces of my tray back together, glued/glassed in my tray runners, got the porting on my exhaust manifold done, sanded, sanded, sanded, and oh yeah......sliced my finger open being a dumbass.:buttkick:
Oh well, it's not a successful day of work without a little blood I guess!

Ready to glass in the tray, sides, and footholds hopefully tomorrow. Also put my carb and exhaust back on my motor.

Still a lot to do, but making decent progress. Be back out in the garage in about 8 hours to get at it again.

We'll be hitting Lewisville around 12 or so, try to hit the "heat" of the day. Gotta test out the new seals and booties on the drysuits. Not to mention get into jetski mode from quad/bike mode.

Supposed to be nice today. Even nicer tomorrow. Wish we were ready to get out there.
Hopefully though we'll be ready to head out there next weekend or the one after so we can get our carbs dialed in...and get a little riding feel back before the coast.

Have fun today Duck!
