I scouted in March - found the right area.

for now - It's a matter of contacting the rental company to see how their properties came through the storm.

I'll make a call tomorrow to ask about the area I had looked at before.

If you want to take the lead - www.brri.com is the rental company - we'd want to be near Stanek Road on the east end of Surfside. that is where the city limits end - and there would be less chance for entanglements on the county beach. :wink:

We were affected by Ike a great deal as of now we only have five houses that we can rent, however by next spring all the houses on Stanek will be able to rent. Just let me know.

Ive got a brochure that shows the location of all their rental houses. I'll send it to you if you want it.

if you want to search on-line, use the drop down box for "location" and pick "Swan Lake"

there were 4 larger houses right on the road that does to the beach. I'll post the names of those homes tonight.

I'll help out but can't really commit right now. One career change didn't work out and the other prospect is in a hiring freeze until the new year. Maybe, just maybe, if it works out I could help a lot!!!

Could we maybe throw some ideas out for what actually needs to be planned/arranged?

-Date and Location (suitable for the majority)
-Lodging
-Beach access (for all types of vehicles ie RVs, pit bikes, Zumas, quads, Jackasses.....no Polaris though!!!)
-Meals (Group or not. If so, which)
-Safety concerns
-Swag (shirts and stuff)
-Money/donations to the pot....no......kitty...no.....LSFR fund dammit!

I know there is MUCH more to it than this but I'm really drawing a blank right now.
