why is that funny? so what, a guy has an old pjs motor that was probably expensive back in the day...and he might be out of the loop and just wants to get rid of it for what HE thinks is a reasonable price. Most of us would know that the motor isnt worth anything now...but maybe he (clearly) doesn't. I hate it when people post threads like this poking fun at other ads or threads....seriously, why does everyone have to point out every ad in which the seller may accidentally be completely wrong?

lol! if you get offended by this, then dont go to "best of craigslist." its not hurting the guy, so who cares?

This isn't craigslist, they can post whatever they want on their 'best of section' which I will admit I have read some funny stories...but the ad posted in here isn't funny or anywhere near being able to make craigslists 'best of' section. The ad posted was just simply someone trying to sell something at what THEY believe is a reasonable price. Whether or not he knows the true value (which he clearly doesn't) doesn't mean he has to be pointed out to be made to look like a fool. There are plenty of foolish ads/posts on here as well, and they are not needed. This is a jet ski forum, not a forum to point out another persons ad because of what they know or do not know. I'm not mad, offended, or anything...it just gets tiring to see these threads started at the expense of someone else, who may not be able to defend his reasoning or have the knowledge to do so. Thats all.

90 hp on a 550 would be cool

Me and my dad have the 7000 series of this motor and it is llisted in the pjs owners manual as 70hp. We have done some serious work to them and are probably getting around 85-90 hp if we had to guess. I'm not sure of the displacement of the 9 series, but I think it was around 700 or 750 maybe.

thanks guys. I'm doin alright. Its about 2 months since the injury. The wound where the bone came out is looking better but still drains a lot of fluid from the swelling. The bone itself didn't show any signs of healing 3 weeks ago but it usually takes 3-4 months for it to start growing back. I don't have that much pain and have been walking on it a lot lately cuz of the holidays. Between all the PT and the new GF I've managed to keep my sanity. Hopefully only 4 more months left. Jerryy Brandon is doing really well too considering he blew his heel up into over 15 pieces. I should make a good recovery too.
