I am using the billet ones already and these screws should be stainless already .Blowsion sells them and that's who I bought them from so why would I call anyone else about the problem .

They turned rusty after one ride because they're not stainless, like everyone said! Just switch em when you get the better caps. I did that (heard about the problem from a guy at Blowsion by the way), and never had any rust problem.

Don't blame BLOWSION, they didn't make them, they just sell them.

All the billet caps have the regular steel screws for some odd reason. I agree that seems crappy but thats what ODI is doing, not Blowsion. I suppose Blowsion could replace them with stainless and make it a nice selling point (kind of like how Home Depot differentiates its Weber BBQ's by putting the cast grill tops in each of the ones they sell). Again I say the manufacturer is the one who should really hear about it.

Aside from that, what's the total cost of two little stainless screws?

ODI's main buisiness isn't watercraft. Actually maybe the stainless screw is the difference between the PWC and ATV basic kits. Then they don't bother to seperate sets of the billet caps.

That's not the point ,the point is Blowsion knows a lot of these will end up in salt water and they also know they rust right away but continue to sell them .
They also will probably hook me up with some stainless screws on my next order .
The cost to go get a couple stainless screws would be an hours time ,10 miles of gas and whatever the screws cost so its more than the thug plugs cost for me

I bought 2 dozen Stainless screws to replace the screws in the plugs, but I forgot to get the nuts that are inserted in the plastic.

Originally the grips were not available with stainless.
Blowsion first started re fitting them in house and finally got ODI to replace the material at the factory.
Watercraft Grips Come with Stainless hardware. as do the latest shipments of thug plugs.
Before one would have to swap the original plug hardware with that of the thug plugs but I do not think thats the case currently. There is an End cap available but it does not look as cool as the thugs IMO

Ghostwriter... good news on the screws - Thanks. I should be getting mine in the mail sometime in the next few days, I look forward to the ss screws.

Aren't the Thug Plugs already anodized? Can they be re-anodized? I'm not an anodizing afficianado.

I'm all for it though. We'll call this an official petition now --- Blowsion anodized Thug Plugs with ss screws --- I'll take two please, in Yamaha Blue

I have all gold fittings on my ski but having the thug plugs match would be great .They told me they would anodize anything I wanted if I would wait until they were anodizing that certain color .

I want my b-pipe chamber in bling bling :Banane01:

There ya go, ODI (read, the manufacturer) made it right.

I wasn't questioning whether you should call Blowsion or not, they certainly can influence ODI better than anyone else, but its the manufacturer that's the one that has to hear about it one way or another so they can make the change.

Regarding the original end caps that come with the ODI's - anyone that hasn't bought any yet should know that the OEM caps cover the nice shiny lock rings on the outside - that's something that ODI should address also. I was glad I went with the thug plugs right off.

Regardless, the ODI grips are great!
