Other Line X Truck bed liner or paint the in engine bay?

I am taking apart my superjet to get it ready for paint and reinforced the inside of the engine bay, and wanted to paint it. I remember seeing somewhere on here someone used truck bed liner and it looked good. I was wondering if anyone has used Line X and how much it cost. If I went the Line X way I would get blue but don't know the price. But i am looking see what you guys have used to paint it. Let me know!

line x is tough as nails not sure on the weight though, one of my old skis had line x on the rails it looked awesome and held up even better but if u decide to go that route dont use anything but line x i had a riding buddy that used a cheaper liner and it peeled eventually

PPG DCC single stage paint is very tough. used it and/or PPG base clear on my skis for over 15 years with no probs.

I used appliance epoxy for a while and it looked great and held up even better. That stuff is really tough too. The one thing I didn't like was that I always used gloss white. It looks beautiful but not for long. I gave up on white and colored engine bays because they always look like trash after a couple weeks. Flat black looks the same whether it's brand new or gunked up with oil, exhaust, fuel, etc.

I can't remember exactly the name but its a real durable paint people paint boats with. Hopefully someone will chime in. It's real durable and looks great

The only thing with Line X, correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you have to pay them to do it, its not a DIY job, and that can get pricey I am assuming. If you guys have any pics of your painted bays posting them would be appreciated.

it is sprayed and comes in any solid color you want. its automotive paint and can be mixed/matched to what ever you desire. i myself dont like spraying metallics in single stage, doesn't look as good as a 2 stage base clear. the single stage works great in the engine bay cause its easy, cures hard as a rock, and like all urethane paints is resistant to fuel and oil/grease.

any automotive paint supply. You dont have to use PPG its just one of the types that i myself use. there are many different kinds out there that will work fine, and probably cheaper. the people at your local paint supply should be more than happy to help you out.
