Starting this wknd Highroller and I are gonna start building a flatwater lightweight octane.after talking to a few octane owners and some testing we have done on our own were gonna incorperate some changes into the hull to make it come up on plane quicker making it jump easier and turn faster.the hood will be a sr-71 hood with some changes and adding the ears in the front to go around the pole bracket to get a lower hood than what the octane has.im off work all next wk my goal is to start to finish this hull by next wknd.if all goes right it shouldnt be a problem.the goal weight is 70lbs.This hull will go up for sale once completed will be sold ready to drop motor and driveline in.will include hood and pole

Well Dan and i started around 11am sun and finished laying them up around 8pm lastnite,we pulled them out this am and we had issues with the epoxy primer it came out pretty ugly, that was the downside but with a little sanding and shoot it with primer again she will be good so we decided to turn this into a beater flatwater boat and try some new ideas.so we went away with the firewall and used alumnium angle to mount the bulkehead. and just put 2 scupper in the back let the water flow right thrue.
the hull is 3in shorter top and bottom and and additional 2 in shorter on the bottom.we weighed it before we put it togather 40lbs.im gonna run a layer top to bottom from the front to rear and the inside is done all the mounts are in and the top is on and curing all in a day and a half
