I had a slippery Matrix pullover. It was one of the newer ones with "smoothskin" (or whatever it's called) front. I found that it would hold water for a few minutes after each submersion. It would get trapped between the fabric and the inner foam. I also had trouble tightening the straps on either side... I'm not very flexible though.
Last year I bought a Jetpilot Flight side entry in nylon. Doesn't hold water, fits me better (slides around less when I'm in the water), and is easier to put on/take off.

I have a jet pilot A-10 Comp vest. I love it! super thin and fits snug so its never bothers you. Unless the po po or Dnr decide to check one day.

I bought a really nice "smooth skin" neoprene USCGA vest from Quiksilver called the Pivot. It holds some water if you use it for swimming or noodling, otherwise its very flexible and fits like a pull over, the zipper fits inside the neoprene lke a wetsuit and the buckles are on the side. Good price too.........and I like Amsoil 2 Stroke....
