the difference IMO is malone has deviated the standard 2 minute WF format. lenzi, in keeping with the format, keeps up the "go nonstop from one trick to the next, never faulting, always transitioning, perfectly fluid" method.

malone said screw it and went for the "go big or go home" "wow" facgtor. he preps himself, catches his breath, and BAAAMMM GOES NUTTY! takes a break, clears his thoughts, and BAAMMM GOES NUTTY! even if its only a 1/2 dozen tricks vs lenzis 36 moves of wonder.

oh well... either way, they both friggin rock.

I totally agree, Lenzi is just always balls to the wall, I love watching that style more but Eric Malone is Eric Malone, enough said.

We must also remember not to judge lenzi solely on his competition routines. Its common to judge freestylers by their competition appearances alone when in reality, their true skill is shown during their everyday riding at the lake, ocean, etc, they can always have bad days as can we all. Its been frequent enough to say that perhaps lenzi is not always at his best when he competes ( just compare all of his practice footage to competition footage) however we all know hes absoultely insane regardless. The scarry thing is if Lenzi is on fire when he rides normally, just think about what Malone is doing!!

Malone is really smart about how he sets up his routine. In our little one on one session in PA he to told me that it is all about placement of the boat and think about what looks more dramatic from the crowds perspective. I flat out told him that if like Sicklerings style of riding more b/c I like the technical tricks..........he said Sicklering is a very very good rider but it is just not his style. He does like the big tricks and when I asked him why he does not do any trick like 50/50's and other technical tricks/transitions he was straight up......they don't win. What dictates Malones style is what wins.

I bet Lenzi's boat handles like crap b/c of the modified SJ bottom, very slippery in the truns and (IMO) contributes to the erraticism of this routines. Malone's boat, on the other hand, handles increadably well and contributes to polished result of his runs. B/c it is handles so well he does not have to fight with the ski as much to make tight turns and the SXR bottom also help plant the ski durring quick direction changes like that of the roll/bf hybrid. You can see how well the ski lands vs say BUN's ski or lenzi's............they have that sideways slide after landing that trick. That is just my observation.

No doubt Lenzi can clean house w/ his skill.

Exactly my stance on this:haha: I do think Lenzi rides harder and appears to be less clean. But it is still huge and equal to Malones rooutine for different reasons IMO. Dont shoot.



People love to hate on Lenzi for some reason... Him and Malone have been THE two guys for a while now...

I have not seen Lenzi hating, he adds alot to this sport as does Malone.

twangeld has some alright shizz, for us flat waterfolks,
glory is in it gettin some, there is also a sweet shot of rambo rosie running and jumping .....................in a bikini ..is that ok to say here????
