Super Jet Length of Superjet ride plates

Ok if I order a new Superjet stock rideplate from Yamaha for a 2000 they only sell the newer plate off 2008 and newer and you have to drill the rear holes.

My question is: Isn't the post 2008 plate a little longer than the 96 - 2007plate?

Answer is yes to the first question and no to the second question.

The 08+ is the same plate as the square, but with only the first four holes drilled. It's set back in the hull along with the pump.

So many people go aftermarket on their ride plates there must be a ton of the OEM variety on EBay and the like wanting new homes. You should be able to source a second hand stocker for a fraction of the cost of a new one.

Buy used or aftermarket.
