Laptop touchpad question

This is my first laptop I've owned so I dont know much about them.

My question is, is there a way to turn off the touchpad slider for scrolling. I use it all the time, and somehow my daughter hit a few keys and now the slider wont work. its very annoying because now I have to move the cursor to the slider on the side of the page and hold the button down to scroll through pages lol.

Its amazing the things kids can change on a computer in 2 seconds.

Reboot, go to control panel, hit the mouse option and see if you have a Device Options tab to configure the touchpad. Some of them have hot-key combinations you can use to enable/disable it, others have a dedicated button.
