Lake Travis- Pace Bend Park- Aug 2-3rd

Who's coming? We'll be camping for sure, $17.00 I think. Looking forward to it. Anyone with a Factory Pipe Blaster Limited chamber not in use, I'm looking.

we'll be in the primitive camping area homeslice
Yes, at mudd cove.

Further reading, I com across this: 'but please be aware that Mudd Cove, Kate' Cove and Gracy Cove are designated for swimming only'.

Since we can't setup in the cove, which end is everyone going to camp at?

Thanx, Johnny!!!

That spot was my first guess, from Penguin's description. My next guess was where the road dead-ends.

No problem thats the spot where Skinny set up last year so I am guessing same spot again this year. I don't have time right now but later I might do more work on that old pic and show everyone where the Swimming Areas are

EDIT: there is more shore then last year. Last year for those who showed you might recall we were getting out of a flood and the lake was over its Max. this year the lake is down ALOT so it wont look the same

Im most likely out all my skis and camper/truck is in San Angelo and might not be back to me untill that weekend:shooter3:

Join the crowd.

Thanx, Johnny!!!

Looks like there's some nice bike riding terrain out there. Anyone know the regulations on motorcycles? Can you ride an unregistered vehicle there?

I dont think they will let you. Last year the cops were out and I even had them looking at my zuma.

I got an idea- What do y'all think about Mud Cove on Saturday & then Devil's Cove Sunday? For those who don't know, Devil's Cove is a 30 minute drive from Mud Cove. Both are on Lake Travis but Devil's Cove has lots of enormous boats that provide huge wakes. There will also be approximately 200 boats tied up & partying like rock stars. A couple of us belong to West Beach Marina which is next to Carlos & Charlies and Devil's Cove. There is a boat ramp and plenty of shoreline to hang out.

Then why not just do Devil's Cove instead of Mudd cove?

Devil's Cove is nothing like Mudd Cove. Mudd Cove is small, is part of a park and has camping. Devil's Cove is huge, is all no-wake and no public shoreline to speak of. Riding there really means riding the big part of the lake in front of Devil's Cove where are all boats are going in and out of it. In smaller groups there are places to hang out, but with a big group, I do not think it is feasible unless we get some invitation from a land-owner. All that said, I would be fine to fill up a tank and try to ride down there (couple miles?). However, it would be shorter of a ride to put in at Trails End and ride up the lake. I don't think Mr Davenport wants anyone camping in his front yard, but I am pretty sure we could l launch from there.

Yep, theres no where in devils to pull up to shore but thats not the point. And only the back half of devils is a no wake zone. If you just sit in front of the no wake boues then you are guarenteed some big ass wakes
