stilll working on landing flat water and choppy water barrel rolls... they are much more difficult than surf rolls. But I'm getting closer.

Anyone have any tips for getting the last 10 - 15% - for plate to plate landings?

i roll to the right aswell, you need to throw your body to the right alot more. it looks like when your ski starts to go right you fade off to the left. practice throwing your body towards the right side........your ski, imo, should be following you around.

Cool, that's the info I need man... With rolling in surf I do that on purpose to keep from rolling around too much... helps slow my rotation... but it's proving to be a hard habbit to break.

thanks bro...

cool video. is that a go pro wide cam?

yes, surf rolls go around like butter. flat ones take some serious snap. i'm about where you are 3/4 most of the time, once in a while hit the bump just right and it gets plate to plate.

Thanks man... I do the same thing... one in 10 rolls I can get plate to plate... i mounted the cam pointing back at me so i could try to analyze my rolls to look for ways to improve.

i didnt see any pre turn and looks like you may be cranking the bars to stop a little late.
nice vid!

I found that pre-turn is key - important (for me) in surf and especially in flat.

I do a pre-turn in surf, but in the very choppy water it's hard to get a preturn in.

I'll have to keep working for it though. I've always hated flat/choppy water until i really started trying to roll in those conditions... now I'm finally having fun no matter what the conditions are.

Thanks for the feedback guys...
