So recently I broke my SN pole and needed a new one. People want to much money for their RN poles, RRP cost more than my SN did, AC Racing poles are barely cheaper than the cost of my ski and the stock SN pole is simply sh!tty. SO i decided to pick up a pole made by L.T.D here on the X and since there wasn't too much info on them i figured id write a little about it.

Customer Service: LTD is great to work with, he was available by text or call anytime i needed, answered all my questions, sent me pictures of questions i had and treated me great. My pole was at my door within two weeks as promised and he always kept me in the loop whether good or bad. More importantly i was impressed he didn't ask for payment until my pole was built and in a shipping box so i didn't have to worry about someone running off with my money or a pay pal feud. That shows trust in me as a customer to pay up for a custom made pole, just as I'm trusting him to do good work and not be a douche. A+

Cost: The pole i bought was non adjustable so the pole was about $319 dollars shipped to my door. Considering the only RN pole offers i got were 150 for a broken one and 225 for a complete one, an extra 75 bucks sounded great.

Lets get to the install.

My pole is -3 and looks great

The first problem with having a SN is the bracket, the poles made are technically for a RN. I'm not going to buy the bracket adapter because jet skiing is a hobby and I'm fine with a stack of washers BUT i didn't have to because LTD cut out spacers for me. Granted these were the wrong size and i had to cut them, i was still grateful that he cut them out for me for free. Anyone that is curious the RN is 1.25 inches skinnier. Also in the picture is my steering cable holder.

Quick pic of the spacer after i cut it, I got it as straight as i could, but a combination of not caring about being perfect and wanting to ride, this was the best i did.

Next step is the spring. The pole itself only weighs 8 pounds, but since i just bought a pole spring from blowsion i wasn't just going to throw it away. I simple just cut off the top part of the pole spring and it worked absolutely perfect.

Next is your steering. The new pole is slightly different so i basically had to bottom out my steering for my steering to hit the stopper and not stop because the steering cable was maxed out. Once again this was a quick fix with my d cut plate giving me easy access to my pump side of the cable.

And basically thats all there is to it. Turf your new fiberglass chin pad that comes with it (unfortuanately i only had grey left) and your are good to go. So far I really enjoy the pole, it was cheap, easy install, light, and looks great. Nothing seems crappy or rushed, very great work. I HIGHLY recommend this pole if your looking to upgrade any ski. Thanks for the read!!!

Thank you! My goal behind these poles was to provide a light durable pole,a reasionable price, and direct bolt on without having to modify this and that to make it work. The turn around time isnt like most companys due to the fact that I dont do it for a living it's something I do in the evenings. Glad you were satisfied with the finished product.

Can you show some more pictures of how you got your pole spring to work? Some with it mounted? I hand made a pole that was somewhat similar to this and would love to have the spring back on it.

Thank you.

yeah of course ill do a picture tomorrow

Just as an update if you see in the picture i didn't put my pole busings.... how embarassing. With the pole bushings in, each spacer is exactly 1/2 inch. I

I think this is the answer to my broken SN poles. They are collecting in the corner of my garage.

yeah i only broke one and said how can i not do this again and not buy a pole that cost more than my entire SN did. there really wasnt too many options. Not to mention the stock SN pole is hard to shorten and i cant stand the stock length

basically the stock spring had a big right angle at the top. i just chopped it off a few inches down so it barely fits and looks like this

I got the pleasure of working with L.T.D on a handlepole today at his shop so we could fit up my 750sx. I can vouch for his abilities, equipment, and dedication to providing a great product at a fair price. We fit the pole to the hood bracket with little issue, the only issue is that after modifying my handlepole spring to fit the spring that was just right on a stock pole stood this pole straight up and you had to pull it downward with similar force a normal pole would need upward so we ditched the spring until I can find a lighter spring to make work. Had to flip the bars and steering system on the turn plate which was no big deal. Only issue I have to workout is my steering cable is binding a little bit, partially from it being so long on the pole which is about 4" shorter bar location from factory.

It looks pretty sweet, is super light, and the price is right.

L.T.D. was a great guy to deal with and i'll definitely be back to purchase another one of these poles for one of my other skis.
