I want to lay this on the inside of my hull just for the looks. Can somebody give me more detail on how to do this? Do I do it before or after the paint?

good question i also have a sizeable roll of carbon fiber thsat i want to use to reinforce the hull of my sxi pro since my last excursion did some heavy stress and i see a few weak points now is there any trick do you just glass over the lips on the inside whats the proper grit paper to get max epoxy joints from the new to the old whats a good pattern and what is the proper angles to get max strength
No need for it to be just cosmetic, if done properly with epoxy resin it is extremely strong, 2-3 layers is enough to reinforce most hulls and look good.
A couple of things to remember....carbon kevlar does not conform well to aggresive angles like the ribs on a superjet, grind them off. Make sure everything is well sanded with something like 80 or 60 grit, then cleaned and de-greased with acetone or thinners, only use as much epoxy as you need to wet through the fabric and make sure each layer is rollered to get rid of any air.
Keep things nice and warm while curing, generally speaking the hotter you cure epoxy, the stronger the finished product. One other thing, epoxy is hydroscopic while curing, make sure the room is warm and dry, in high humidity areas use a de-humidifier or you stand a chance of suffering from amine bloom!

Thats correct. Why go through with a paint job just to accidentally get some resin on it....or even worse, you will be working with sandpaper/power tools.....
