More Hieroglyphics while waiting on material .The idea is to have adjustable foot holds PERIOD . I won't hear of anything less.
The tray is going to be completely redone so that labor is what it is ...... The gunwales will have to be severally reshaped and enforced so that labor is what it is .... Foot holds will have to be made and made beefy so that labor is what it is .
If I do something like the light weight by Norbert it cuts out weight , finishing and some R+D . I'll need to set inserts in the deck add a little foam to clean up the foot holds ( just a rough Idea of what they will look like ) . Also need to reinforce the chine area as the removal of the top deck section will make the structure weaker IMO .
I must admit I have been overtaken by a condition I call ........ " Analysis Paralysis " . My friends on the board , if I have any left just want me to be done ...... CUZ THEY ARE SICK OF HEARING ABOUT IT ! I think it's because they are envious of my creativity and secretly want to sabotage my efforts .

My wife would not let me buy a plexus gun so I had to make my own . This week should be a good one . Material coming in from solar composites . I should get the bulk head in as well as a good start on the top deck mods ...... if I could make up my mind . I keep flip flopping with ideas . Several on the board can attest .

Got a little done tonight . I stopped by spruce aircraft and picked up some last-o-foam . This stuff is pretty expensive ,but I was digging around in the warehouse and found a drop from a 4x8 ... 10 BUCKS ...... SCORE . It forms as easy as the pink stuff the weight is 2 oz more per side , but it is 10 times more structural .

Cut the foam to shape . Also pictured are some blocks that will be inset into the foam to handle the point load for the mounting points of the adjustable foot holds . The smaller blocks are a material called Nylo board. This shi$ is tougher than a two dollar steak , but a little on the heavy side . All total this will add 1.5 pounds per side before glass ..... I might be able to cut that down by 1/2 a pound . I Started out wanting this build to come in under 100 , now I'm really hoping for under 120 hull and hood .

Is a Harbor freight square ..... guess it was asking just a little to much to go the extra 1/4 inch .

Well it's been a while ...... mounted hard plates for the adjustable foot holds as well as the gunwale extensions than will widen the tray . If I keep fing around Nut is going to throw a top /bottom deck and have the Grunt assembled before I even start the first bolt.

It's been awhile ... I've really been busy lately . I have had to devote a lot of time getting my professional Ninja re certification . I was a little rusty on the art of scaling vertical walls and the whole throwing star thing ...... those class are very expensive and time consuming .
Money has also been tight after helping Gil with all his legal expenses . After all , what are friends for ? If you can't count on friends to help you out of a jam then who can you turn to ? I don't care if he was caught in a Gay albino transvestite prostitution sting somethings are more important than stupid jet skis !
To the build ..... Fear not wee ones I have been working a little every week and tonight I stuck the two halves together ! This was almost an epic composite failure ..... everything sealed up well , but I reeeeally had to work fast and it got sloppy... real sloppy . I figure I cost my self several hours of unnecessary heart ache due to my lack of experance and patients ( reminds me of my junior senior prom back in 85 ) .
I added carbon instead of glass fibers and my mayonnaise consistency got really stringy damn near un spreadable . It worked out , but not exactly how I imagined berry said it would . One thing I have learned about composites is that there are ways people have not yet thought of to F this stuff up....

The holds are ugly molds not the finished product . I made some out of 4 layers of 19 oz carbon for the finished product . I plan on setting inserts for multiple mounting options . ( see pic 1 ... then on to pic 2 ... and back again to pic 1 . You will see my plan ... my shear brilliance . Don't you see it ? Pic 2.5 ? Look between the pictures grass hopper .... If you ain't been to no ninja school or at least read something about ninjain you won't understand .
