Super Jet keeping the superjet on a flat plain

I just bought a round nose and i can not keep it on a smooth flat plain without it bouncing up and down.. i ride my boys 650sx and can stay pinned and it just digs without it bouncing at all

Im thinkin it has to be my ride plate and scoop grate combo.. The Ride plate is a worx dominator plate that sticks out about 2" past the back of the ski. and then the grate i have is a scoop type. I have both stock parts. thinkin about putting one or the other on for tomorrow. I hear the plate i have that sticks out is not as good as a short one for learning freestyle anyways.

Any recommendations?

stock will make it worse, its all about stance. I learned that this year. With me you cant hang to far off the back if wanting to do some wide open riding. When i try to go fast and not turn much I actually put feet parallel up far in the tray lean back and kinda pull on the handle pole. If im turning alot and going fast I do my surf stance but I close it up a little to stand more forward in the tray. You will find the sweet spot, its probably a little different for all weights and riding styles. It was a little frustrating for me at first, but I figured it out fairly quickly.

You are experiencing porpoising, every new superjet rider goes through it. It magically goes away on its own with more tray time. Stop leaning back...change your stance in the tray, get your legs straighter, get further forward and lean further forward (push your gut up against the bars) and go.

Longer ride plates help keep the nose down, so changing to a shorter plate would hurt you right now...but you are right, you'll eventually want a shorter plate anyway.

Try moving your front foot up to the front of the tray and backfoot in the middle. Then lean forward with belly close or touching bars. Like aramis said. Then pin it!

Just mess around with different positions and how you have your weight in the tray. Try cornering and speed runs with different stances.

ok ill just keep it how it is and hope it comes to me. its just frustrating cuz on the 650sx, anywhere i stand it doesnt porpoise. On my ski I tried both fee all the way up, my feet actually under the little lip, i tried both in the middle, both in the back. tried pulling back on the pole and tried pushing the pole forward..
does it matter how high i hold the pole? i seen a couple guys out riding with the pole high, like chest height. I try riding like that and it feels sketchy.

The old 650sx is harder to plane compared to a Superjet. Check the rideplate extension, they are easily bent and will cause uncontrollable porpoising.

yea actually the right side of the plate is bent up a little bit like the last owner dropped the ski on it a little bit.. that must be the issue.. Ill put the stock plate on to see if that fixes it

Learn your stance and to shift your weight. When I bought my ski it had an extended ride plate then i flush and d cut it. It took me a while to learn how to plane it out. Now I can be hopping along and throw a foot forward, change weight positioning and pin the throttle.

These guys are right, it's a lot about stance. The way you are riding now might not be suited the best for your grate/plate combo. An aggressive scoop grate and extended ride plate really try to keep the nose down and you may be trying to ride more nose high. Id say put the stock stuff on and see how it feels. I fought this very problem with my sxi pro. Stock grate fixed it for me. No more bounce and made the ski slide easier.

yup!! its all about tray time and figuring things out! i have three buddies that all have kawi's one of them when he figured out how to ride my superjet sold his and bought a rn superjet like mine haha. the other two well one he has an 800 so he doesnt want to get rid of that and the other cant find a superjet at the moment lol.
