The resistance through the boot, I.e. between the spike (or wherever the coil wire connects) and the part that contacts the plug.

Then you do want either resistor plugs or boots.
hahahahah yea i know! thats the whole point of the thread!!!!!! i was wondering what the kawi plug boots were to see if im good to use all the non resister plugs i have!!! you guys are killen me!!!! lol

I believe the stock Kawi boots are non-resistor boots. Plugs on a stock boat run BR8ES plugs.
thanks man! just what i wanted to know

i also have resistor ngk boots that i can run but wanted to know about the kawi

Do you have a DMM out an analog meter?

Because I gotta tell you, I wouldn't trust the word of random strangers on the internet - I'd figure it out myself, especially given how easy and fast it is.

I know for a fact the NGK boots are resistor type boots however Kawi used some different kind of boots other than NGK on some year boats, I do not have a set here at present to check and do not know if they are resistor or not.

If they are the OEM Kawasaki fat blue ones I'm pretty sure they are resistor type, it's been a long time ago since I measured them.
A $5 meter in the flea market, auto parts clearance bin or even Big Lots sells them.
