Freestyle Kawi Total Loss whats the best?

What is the best total loss setup for a Kawi 800? MSD? Advent w/Jetnetics flywheel? Others? I wish ATP made one for a Kawi! I am looking for a balance between reliability and power. I like the idea of the advent in the stock E box and a Jetnetics non charging, but I am not sure that it will compare to the MSD? Also charging/non how big of difference can you see between the two? Thanks for the input!

I don't think the old jetnetics total loss systems were that great. I tried a lightened flywheel on my old 750 and I think the only real difference I saw was in my head... When I put the MSD total loss in my 750, there was an eye opening difference. Charging the battery is a hassle sometimes but I could never give up that power.

advent sucks! His products make great power but don't last and/or are faulty. His warranty is garbage and so is his customer service. I had 2 dead advents this year. Bolth sold had issues that he knew about and would not warranty. Gregs idea of a warranty is 100$ off a purchase of a new one... Not to mention he charges for everything... Including testing units that he already knows are faulty...

lol yea I know. I used to love advent till I had to actually deal with greg over faulty units. The T3 units do make huge power and the 5x stronger spark claim is no joke. But after I had issues and he hung me out to dry....

If you want to save a grand, pull your flywheel and yank the three and a half pounds of magnets off it.

Instant total loss.

I have MSD on my SuperJet, TBM charging flywheel on one SX-R, Jetinetics charging flywheel on the other.

They have all been of equal reliability except the TBM didn't like my 2003 electronics.

I have heard that about them. A friend of mine runs the Advent on his SXR with the stock flywheel and has had zero issues in 3 years, lucky I guess. He has a very mild setting and never screws with it, so its hard to compare. I actually think his wifes SXR with the identical motor setup except for stock cdi with a advance plate is about the same.

How do you compare the difference between the MSD and Jetnetics or TBM as far as power gains between the two?

The TBM is on an otherwise stock motor and the Jetinetics is on a superstock running race gas so it's very difficult to compare.

I agree, you can't complain about customer service because there isn't any. Total Loss is the right words to use for advent, didn't work out the box and they kept spewing BS about busy sorting it out, would had more enjoyment flushing my money down the toilet

On the reliability side the CDI-9R is bulletproof. I even hooked the battery up wrong once and all that happened was the fuse in the ebox blew, best cdi I have ever had. I am running a lightened stock flywheel and no stator, still need to pull magnets
