Kawi KFX450r

not too long its pretty easy and if you are just a rec rider this will obviously not need to be done this often i know guys that have 2 seasons on theres
and they are top b riders so it really depends how you ride the thing
and what not i have never had to touch the bottom end usually 1 time i had to putt a new crank in a yam 250f other than that i think for the most part there bulletproof

I"m really liking the new kawi quad. The guys at the shop said all the 450's require more maintence. They said rings and piston once a year. I was kinda shocked by that since its a 4 stroke. I am only a rec rider. Just going to be a toy to play on. They said the suzuki 400's are great rec quads, but I'm not feeling it. Great price on them though.. I dont mind maintence I enjoy workin on that stuff. Just trying to get a better idea of how solid these 450's are. I'd hate to be wrenchin more then enjoying!

i dont think youll halfto as long as you keep the valves in spec and change the oil you should be good ive never heard of anyone haveing probs with that motor other than little things but im almost poss that kawi fixed the issues they were haveing after 06

if i was gonna get a quad id get the suzuki 450. i rode one and it was so easy to ride, i jumped everything on the track including an 80 foot triple. those things float like u wouldnt believe.

they are big and heavy, good in a straight line..... the 450 motors for rec riders are pretty bullet proof if you change your oil and do regular maintenence. get a 450 you wont regret it at all.

cool. I"m going to check them out tomarrow in person at some dealerships. but If I go quad which I think I am, its either the kaw, or raptor. both are fuel injected. kawi is 363lbs and raptor is 396. so ya I am worried about size and wieght I"m 5'10 155.
