kawi 650 bored 40 over???

I've been searching for a used ski and found a kawi 650 bored 40 over. my question is: already having taken 40 thousandths out of the stock bore is this too much? if it needs to be bored in the future how much is left? also how many cc's does the 40 over equate to? anyone have any experience running a motor like this?

if the piston is now 1mm larger than stock. would this cause any problems with the head or head gasket? right now i'm told there is a water leak coming from the head, seller is telling me its just a head gasket. but he also said that it needs to be heli coiled. does this sound right? what should i be looking for when i go see it to make sure it doesnt have any bigger issues with that head..(head is PJS)

it could have a leaky head gasket because the cylinder needs a helicoil.

if its an x2 for the right price, let us know what youre looking at for further help.

if its a 650sx - just pass on it and wait for the next superjet (or x2) to come along.

yeah, its an X2 with some decent aftermarket stuff on it. pjs head, exhaust, west coast waterbox, etc. he says is it runs but has a leak coming from the head.. so a gasket is no problem. but the helicoil made me think somthing else might have gone wrong, because i would think its kinda hard to strip out the threads. i was thinking maybe somthing wasnt right with the engine work he did and there might be a lot more damage than just a gasket. what do you guys think?

ahhhh, an almighty x2! we have 2 and another on the blocks right now. have you seen the ski in person? is it clean? a picture is worth 1000 words but 1000 words w/o a picture aint $h!t.
