My current boat is a 89 550. I prefer this year model, as the newer ones went to the tail exhaust which I did not care for, and the older ones had the much bulkier exhaust that came out the front. The motor in it now is a stock motor, I am in the process of putting a motor together for this hull. It will be 1 mil over pistons, high comp head with .02 copper gasket. westcoast exhaust , motor is also ported and using mikuni 44 carb. I was very happy with this motor setup in a previous boat and look forward to having it in my current hull.
