kawasaki 750 crank ?'s

A friend of mine has a 92 smallpin 750 motor in one of his stand ups..

Can we replace it with the large pin crank for the newer model ,(95 and up I think) if we replace the pistons as well...

I can get replacement hod rods cranks for the big pin but not small pin..

The BP crank wont fit in SP cases.

I have never had two out side by side but I will tonight as I am building a big pin tonight, I will let you know for sure whats what tomorrow.....................

A big pin crank will not fit into small pin case at all. I tried last year when I built my motor. The lobes on the crank are too big for the cases, everything else is the same and will bolt right up. You should be able to pick up a used big pin case for $100-150.

Big pin crank into small pin case is a no go, small pin crank into a big pin case will work but you could possibly have a problem with crankcase windage due to the extra space between the crankshaft and cases.Myth busted !
