650/X-2 Kawasaki 650sx doesn't start

Hello I had taken my Kawasaki up to the lake. I tried to start it but it just clicks. I had bought a new battery. Does any one know what could be wrong?

Dead starter or seized or dead solenoid.

I had bought running and never used it. Can a starter and a solenoid be broken that fast.
