kawasaki 440 js

I bought a 76 kawasaki 440 and I'm looking to make it work a little better. It is old, I am a big guy.... I have read some where about the 550's and the 2 stage pumps. Would this work? What about a stainless impeller? Pipe? The ski is stock. Just looking at my options. Jeremy

put a550 topend and a long pipe on it.keep 440 pump and put 16* stainless prop.
