Hello
I am in the start phase of developing an electric surfboard aka something as this;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nePQzK9yWGc&feature=player_embedded
The point of the project is to make a silent, fun machine that don't make people angry, even using it on a lake.
I have been searching for the possibility of making a jet ski electric, but they are too heavy and would require far more power than a surfboard to even be remotely fun.
Standing on a surfboard at 30 mph is enough for most of us, but would be boring in a jetski. A surfboard is also light, nimble and require less power for the same speed.
The board in the youtube clip is not hard to replicate, but I don't know what pump to use. As far as I know, the SJ300 is the smallest of the jet ski pumps and is still cheap.
The motors I plan on using will make around 25 hp peak, so close to an old kawa ski.
Do any of you know how much a SJ300 pump weights? Do you have a physical measurement of it? Every hint and thought is appreciated, I would rather not waste too much money if there are cheap, clever solutions out there.
Thank you
