Just Bought My First Superjet, looking for parts!

I finally was able to find the ski I was looking for and came across a decent 1995 Yamaha Superjet. The ski has a few nice parts including proper 61X motor, Factory B pipe, footholds, AC -2 Aluminum pole, Solas prop, ride plate and intake grate also. Cosmetically the ski isn't so hot and that's fine because I was planning on painting this ski anyways. So I'm looking for a few body parts or information on what to do otherwise.

Problem #1 is that the fuel door is missing. I found that Blowsion made a nose cover that eliminated the door, Blowsion part #05-02-250 but it has been discontinued. Where can I find a replacement door or fix for this?

Problem #2 The front bumper is ripped off. Blowsion also made a fix for this, part # 05-02-253 but it is also discontinued. What is a possible fix for this? Can it just be turfed?

So another question is about side rails, What is the difference between turfing the side rails or just applying side moulding? Is there a benefit to one vs the other?

Also, Is it normal to remove the fire ext. box, or do most people leave it in place?

Thanks for the help!

I am sure you can find a good used nose cover here on the X.

Turfing the nose and rails is just personal preference. I think the look better stock but it is sure nice to have turf when you grab it or bump into something.

As far as the extinguisher, it’s illegal to run without one pretty much everywhere.

Oh dang I didn't know that. Yeah the extinguisher doesn't really bother me but I was just curious about what others do with it.

Do you know of anyone selling a nose cover?
