Just brought this SN home yesterday. My brother and I have been looking for one for a while. Things just fell into place for it. Its a 95 bought new in 1999 and owned and operated by the original owner, a woman, its entire life. The thing is excellent condition with only minor scuffs and has all of its original parts, down to the grips, tray pads, and visibility spout.
Weird thing though, the right side below the superjet text and above the bond rail has an extreme waviness to it. Have any of you guys before see this or know what its from? I actually found one other picture from a nice 95 I had on my computer which appears to have the same problem. The owner said she bought the ski with it, and it just never bothered her. I have no reason to doubt her, especially because there's no evidence of a repair and she's been really honest.
The waves are quite extreme, maybe as much as 3/8" to half inch between the peaks and valleys. It doesn't bother me too much, just a quirk of the ski. I'm more interested just if they had some sort of weird manufacturing fiasco during the molding or assembly process. And from the pics it is hard to see. The one I posted looking down is somewhat distorted by the decal reflection too.
Anyone see this before?
