yes that is right-its been about 6 months since I sold my superjet and now I am going with a x2. I have never ridden one before and am really excited. its bone stock with hydro turf and that’s about it.
I have one issue regarding the title its legit and all its just that the guy signed it and dated it 8/28/09 i know ca dmv says you have 10 days. is this going to be an issue.
also the tags on it are from 07. anyone know what the fee would be to get it current. I know i have to pay the back fees.

ya i am sure it wont be nearly the same. its going to be a under 1k $ "investment" that fits in the garage with both cars and i can let me buddys ride it and leave it in the truck with no worries. i had a hard time with the 6k $ ski.
plus 2 people can ride so that will be kinda fun. i may go with a factory pipe down the road they want around 400. there is pipes on ebay for 250 but they are old. for now i will just leave it stock and then go from there.
thing has alot of cool features. like 4 or 4 dif trim selections and no stupid lanyard, a cool choke built into the start stop switch and no more premix. kinda hard to get at the engine but i wont be messing with that stuff anytime soon.

Before you go dumping money into a 650, considedr doing a 750 swap. Its super easy, and you'll be making way more power compared to a 650 for the money spent. I really like my x2 It nice not having to always be on top of how your ski is being treated too, (friends, ect.) Go to the pismo spring break free ride also, x2's are super fun in the surf.

If you had a 6k superjet, and you plan on leaving the X2 stock....you are going to be HORRIBLY disappointed. The X2's 650 REALLY REALLY REALLy x10000 SUCKS without a PIPE & PROP!

750 swap may be something in the future they can be had for around 500-600 bucks and i can sell the 650 engine. as for the oil injection that may have to go I do have the block off and when the oil pickup fails there is no warning.
is there going to be a hold where the fill is. or will the cap stay there. and everything else come off. be nice not to lug a half gallon of oil inside the ski.
anyone know the run time on the tank thing looks small about 2 gallons or so.

Just yank the oil tank out and rip the metal "oil level float" rods off the oil fill cap. Then screw the cap back on.

I believe the X2 fuel capacity is 4.1gals. Depending how much you are on the gas.... I normally get 1.5hrs of run before I start worrying. But I have killed a tank in about an hour when whomping on it.

Nope! I know it shows it in the original brochure, but it's hard as heeeellllll to get two people on that thing and it's not fun when you do.

As for the steering... take that adjuster bar out and run a bolt all the way through it. It will tighten it up a lot. Not perfect, but ridable.

Ditch the oil pump, run premix and use the oil tank as a reserve fuel tank instead. On a single tank with a stock motor you can probably ride a couple hours. (at least I could on mine...)

If you can do the 750 swap, you wont regret it! It rips and these things are awesome in the surf. I just sold my 750 motor out of mine :( gonna spend more time on the SJ this year since I ride X2's everyday at work.

ski just got registered today everything worked out cost 88$ and i have the tags so its all up to date and ready for laughlin for her maiden voyage.
prob take off oil tank and run premix I do like the idea of the reserve tank for fuel. very smart!! maybe i can pick up a fuel selector switch for the dash.

reserve tank is one more thing that can go wrong and a waste of your time who has ever burned a tank without 'comming in' with a stock 650 & 28mm carb... KISS therory!!
Defently run pre-mix dont even think about not doing it.. and a bolt through the headset as a minimum will help with the play in the hangers..

Enjoi ;)

Just run the line from the reserve tank up to your fuel selector on the top part of the ski. U don't need another selector.

??? How??? The line comes out at the bottom so it is basically gravity fed.

It costs u nothing to have a reserve tank, and just cuz u have it doesn't mean you have to use it. Just extra insurance. Just like dual cooling :)
