GASKETS FOR CHAMP BRAP!
- Location
- Lake Havasu City, AZ USA
Chris Hagest and one of his buddys brought the ramp jump from the world finals down to Body Beach yesterday. The water was calm and glassy and no other couches or skiers were at the beach(3 pm). We had the whole place to ourselves. Sunny and 85 with no wind at all, awesome!
There were 4 of us(stand-ups) jumping it for about a hour. It was weird and fun at the same time! The first time was the worst as i didnt know what to expect. The trick is to hit it straight on. Its normally an 4 foot jump, but where we had it in this shallower area the trailer tires were touching the bottom and it stuck up another foot, so it was at 5 feet tall.
After we got used to it, we were throwing some one handers and one footers off it. My friend Ernie had his camera and we took turns on my Blaster II taking pics of each other jumping. I'll get some pics up later after I get them from Ernie.
It was definitely a cool experience and it looks like they might just be leaving it out there. Chris just pulled in up on the island and left it. So hopefully it will be there all winter long! hehehe!:tongue2:
I dont think its the greatest thing for the bottom of a ski, but the experience was neccesary! :headbang:
