300/440/550 JS550 pump case 59336-3702

Hi all,
Nice to meet you all - had a quick scan over this forum and it seems very helpful

I recently bought a 1991 550SX off a workmate, but before paying him I discovered the pump was frozen. I knew nothing about jetskis before taking it off him but there's plenty of information around so I've been learning fast.

He hadn't used the ski for 3/4 years, however once the pump was removed it started first time so I'm happy its worth repairing.

Looking at the pump case you can see corrosion has caused the wear ring to deform and it looks like someone has ground down to deformation in the past as a temporary fix.

Hunting around I have found plenty of new and second hand parts but they fetch £££

My question is, before I splash out on this part, does anyone have a secret stockpile or know where I could get one for a reasonable price?

I've seen whole skis go on eBay (spares/repairs) for less than the cost of a second hand pump case which seems a bit ridiculous in fact I almost drove to Portsmouth the other day to buy a ski with a dead engine because it had the part I needed

join PWCtoday.com and put a request in the parts for sale section of the forum. Lots of helpful people with oldskool knowledge and usually have tons of spare parts they are willing to sell. I have done a few deals with some guys for an E box and stator when mine bit the dust

must be 550 Sx specific pump/center section

a SX pump is gonna run you $75-200 depending condition and seller....

they only made the 550 sx from 1990 thro 1995

1st year SX ran a piston motor still. Then early 1991 they introduced the 550 reed motor.



you could run a 550 JS pump....but you would then have to swap out the rest of the drive system.
