I'm about 95% with my JS701. With the Rhass kit it comes with a mounting bracket for the superjet electrical box if you don't have the ebox buy one. Other then that it wasn't that hard...but remember custom builds equals custom problems.

With the Rhass kit it is pretty simple... Not gonna lie. Im about a 5 on a scale of 246234763467 with regards to mechanical ability... My 550sx/701 conversion has been running (knock on wood) for a long spring, summer, fall with no issues really.

It pretty much is a straight bolt in with the kit. The Ebox fits perfectly into the old mounting bolts. You might be able to see it in my profile pic.

Just a solas impeller I'm not dumping anymore money into this ski after this build. Time for another project. Since I'm not super familiar with superjet's anyone know the stock waterline routing? I'm 95% done as I said but my current line config has no pisser....which seems odd.

I didn't do a pump mod other than 19 degree straight pitch prop, clean up the casting marks, and stubby pump cone. Its the wife's ski so not to much of an issue there.

Jon is the stock head still on the 61x? It should have two outlets up top. One 3/8 inch and one 1/8 inch.

I am pretty sure there is no pisser on a stock 61x. Water from pump to bottom back of exhaust mani, then up to head. There should be a separate flush fitting above the "mani to head" line. Maybe someone else can chime in. I have only worked with 1 stock exhaust and I got rid of it pretty quick.

Got her all done earlier today. Can't for it to warm up a little to take it for a spin.

I have new turf and some foot straps I want to mount just need to ride so I can mark up a location for them. Also I know it has a solas prop but I don't believe it's a 19 degree one...need a to ride and see what is needed for final touches. Thanks for all the advice.

To be honest I like mine. I know there are a lot of varying opinions out there about stubby pump cones, but behind my 19 degree straight pitch I have enjoyed it. Does have a small "pop the clutch" like feeling but I attribute that more to how I ride and how my cheater pipe is tuned and less to the cone itself. If you realize you have a lot of cavitation once riding, you may need to go to a steeper pitch prop. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Any idea if the Blowisons TNT waterbox will fit inside this hull(JS550)? I'm concerned that the old JS waterbox will cause some bogging with the bigger volume of exhaust gases exiting through it even though it ran fine on the hose.

I used a Seadoo Waterbox. See CavemanX2 over on PWCToday. It works great but the downside is you don't get to use your front fuel fill with it. It does hold a lot of water but keeps sound respectable. and its cheap and plentiful.
