300/440/550 Js440 steaming from pisser (telltale)

Hi guys just bought my self my first stand up jetski really cheap. It's in good nic visually and starts first go every time.
The problem I'm having is. I took it for its first ride today was going good and the pisser was flowing steady not crazy pressure but seemed fine. After a bit of a ride it stopped. So I came to shore then it started steaming from the pisser like a kettle. I let it cool down thinking I must have a blocked pickup. After it cooled I turned her over and opened up the flush valve to see if I was getting water to the motor and it flowed out of there pretty good like a hose.

Put it back together and I had water. Coming out of the pisser again with pressure this time. Then it just stopped again.. Then steamed up but not so bad this time.

I know the water box has a leak in the inlet side of its self I'll have to seal up but any one have any ideas on how I can fix this problem??

Thanks guys!

Okay do u mean every single line that loops around the ski on the exhaust side? There are a few of them I'll try and do that today! The ski was sitting for a wile before I bought it. Alan going to try and seal my water box with some jb weld. Any other suggestions?

Okay so today I sealed my water box with some jb weld seals great now! Also I removed all the water lines, blow them out with air and water. Few little bits of crap came out. Also blow some air through the fitting on the block a few bits came out but not much. Took it for a ride started off good then it blocked itself after about 20 min. Came back and blow some air through the pisser line and started her up and I has water coming out again.. Wasn't high pressure but it was flowing. Then after 10 min it blocked again. I could keep doing this all day. To keep ridding.. Any ideas? How much gap between the impeller and housing should I have? Could this be a problem?
Thanks in advance

...chaos? Its Fair!
Make auo a flush kit and hook it to the head and turn the hose on and see if you having water restriction problems in the engine or if it is in the pump pick up try to eliminate possible areas of trouble

What's a auo flush kit?
My ski has a flush kit installed T off the inlet to the bottom of the block?
when I flush after I use it water pisses out the impeller.

sounds like you got some thing cloging up you cooling lines. it is probably rust from the cylinder.

i would try and back flush the cooling line.

first pinch off the hose on the engine side of the inlet hose flush "T" and turn the hose on to back flush the inltet hose.

you should see a steady flow of water out of the pump housing.

don't start the engine when doning this cuz you want have any water flowing to it!

then unhook the hose that goes from the head to the pipe at the pipe and back flush it from there too.

you should see a steady flow of water out of the pump housing when you do this too.

So hook the hose up from the bottom of the block and flush? Water would come out the top of the head not the pump?

Then hook it up from the top of the head and flush? So water comes out the pump housing? Is that right?

1 hook up the flush kit
2 turn on the water
3 unplug each hose starting on the top of the head if flow is good reconnect
4 go to the next hose in the line like coming from the exhost check it there and reconnect
5 move on to the next hose that goes to the pisser
each hose should have good flow if not the problem is befor it and after the last hose that did flow good.
it you get water flowing good through the head but not the exost . take apart the exhost and see what is blocking it . if it is something small gravity will move it down and unblock the line when it stops running and then when the water starts rushing back around it it will move into the hose outlet and block the flow again

If you run water into the flush line with the engine not running you will fill your crankcase with water from the exhaust. I had a 550 start blowing what looked like steam out of the pisser, it was actually exhaust coming out. My water box had a cap come off inside and that was blocking the exhaust outlet causing more exhaust pressure than water pressure so exhaust was forcing the water back into the engine and pushing exhaust out of the pisser.
