I have always used the Hydroturf hood seals, some here don't like them but I have never had any issues with them.

You can use scrap hydro turf or something similar and cut strips to glue in the seal area. You wanna build it up however many layers till your hood is nice and tight when you snug down the rubber strap. I don't have pics right now of my 440's but it has something like this and its very water tight.

i have an OE kawi one here in stock. ( these are by far better than oan others). these sell for 35.00 + s&h. it is more $$, but IMO well worth it. i too have used / sold the hydro turf ones, and i hate them. it is too soft of a foam, and they just don't last.

I need a gasket, but it's for the Typhoon conversion, and the "hood" is longer than the OEM hood. It almost touches the front nosepiece.

I tried a HYDRO-Turf gasket, but if I put it where the top came down, I ended up about 4" short.

I'm looking through McmASTER -Carr now.....

I'm thinking maybe I can put the gasket on the TOP instead of the usual place.
