Do you mean turn plate or handle pole? The 650 pole is big and heavy, so no one would ever use that on a js. People have used the turn plate because it's 2 inches shorter.

yeah you can use the turnplate. You have to get a 650 pivot bolt and put it on the 550 sub plate. Pretty sure you also have to adjust the steering cable length, but thats easy.
