Wet Jet was made by Mastercraft.

I don't have a clue what a Jon Boat is?????

*EDIT* You talking about one of those flat bottom fishing boats?

Hmm, interesting idea I guess.

I know that Yamaha 61x motors were put in some Wet Jets, but I don't know about all. As far as pump unit, I don't know if it's also "borrowed" from something else, but check out the link, they might be able to help you.

Also, if you can post up a picture of the motor, it would help. If not, I'm sure there are some pictures on here of 61x motors that you might be able to compare it to.

yeh its a awesome set-up all custom welded and boat will straight fly...custom made 2 seater but im having trouble with it goin on anything past half throttle it boggs down and i was told impeller was shot and motor was wrapping out and thats my problem..thanks for the help its greatly appreciated

Holy gigantic pictures Bat Man!!!

Looks like a 61x to me. That's good, means you can do tons to that engine if you want and really make it fly. Possibilities are as endless as your pocket book.

Still does not help you with the pump issue. Might need some pics of that too.

Haha, kinda went the opposite way with those ones.

600x450 seems to be a good all around size. You can even go a little bigger if you want for the detail. You can also use the "Manage Attachments" button down below to attach a photo if you don't want to host it somewhere else. Or you have space by being a member here to host your pics here in your albums.

And, the impeller will unscrew. They sell splined tools that hold onto the front of the shaft and depending on the impeller, you might need a tool for that too, or it might have a hex built onto the end. If it's been on there a while, it might be a bitch to get off. Will probably take some heat, but try dripping some heavy duty penetrating oil like Liquid wrench, or PB Blaster down the snout of the impeller and let it sit for a while.

Check the bearings too. They are available cheap, and after the impeller is off, the shaft slides out the back where that cone is. I got new bearings for my Super Jet for $10 each. Dealer wanted around $40 each.

BTW, that stator (finned part) looks like a Yamaha part, I can't tell from the picture, but the pump housing might be as well, or a special Wet Jet part, or some custom part made just for this application.

ok i got them..i apologize again its been a long day i have been working on this thing since 8 a.m....

Hmmm, now looking at that pump unit, it doesn't look like my Super Jet one, but maybe someone else will chime in. Might be from a Blaster or Raider or something, I don't know. Hope so, it will make life easier.

yeh at this point i will take any help i can get..the pics arent the greatest as its pitch black outside but i can take pics tom of any part that may help

any advice on the impeller once i get it off is it better to send off to be redone or buy a new one..that is if i can figure out what size it is of course

No thats a Brut pump,I would know it anywhere, they are kinda funky to work on and getting that clamp back on properly is a beeoich!Mastercraft sold all their remaining parts to those years ago but a call to Mastercraft could probably get you the phone # of the supplier.
